In late 2017, Health2047 added a new CEO Larry Cohen, M.S., a veteran healthcare and pharmaceutical industry executive who spent a decade lecturing at Harvard University Medical School. Following the American Medical Association’s $27.2 million investment into Health2047, Cohen spoke with Healthcare Analytics News about Health2047’s origins and future ambitions.

Cohen told Healthcare Analytics News that “there has to be a radical transformation in value delivered right now. AMA CEO Dr. Jim Madara likes to say that we spend $3 trillion on healthcare and we get $2 trillion in value. There’s a phenomenal amount of waste. We need to treat chronic diseases much more effectively.”
