Ken is the Senior Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer at the American Medical Association (AMA). He leads the development, integration, and execution of services and products in the AMA’s three strategic focus areas: delivery and payment through the lens of physician satisfaction, health outcomes, and accelerating change in undergraduate medical education. Prior to the AMA, Ken spent time at the University of Chicago Medical Center where he served as the Executive Vice President for Organizational Strategy and Planning and then as the Medical Center President. Prior to his time at Chicago, Ken held various positions at the Stanford University Medical Center including Vice President for the Physician Organization and Medical Center Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in his career Ken was an executive with Northern California Kaiser Permanente and was the administrator in charge of Nevada’s public mental health system. Ken holds a PhD in clinical and community psychology and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
